Construction of the railway from China to Uzbekistan is planned to start in 2016 - Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan

Almaty. December 22. Silkroadnews - During the construction of a railroad from China to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan will become a transit country, said Prime Minister of the KR Temir Sariev.
According to him, China's high-speed railways connect almost all the regions together.
"Construction of the railway China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan will give an impetus to the development of the economy. In addition, this project is planned to build the relevant infrastructure", - said the head of government.
T. Sariev noted that all these projects are provided in the framework of the economic belt of the Silk Road.
"If the project construction of the railway will be implemented as planned, it will be able to transit through Kyrgyzstan loads up to 15-20 million tons per year. In the future, it provides the possibility of extending the railway to Iran. The initial phase of the project is scheduled to begin in 2016 ", - concluded the Prime Minister.
