Council of CIS Defense Ministers approved the draft concept of aerospace defense
Almaty. December 24. Silkroadnews - Council of CIS Defense Ministers at a meeting in Moscow approved the draft concept of aerospace defense (ASD), according to the executive committee of the Commonwealth.
"Based on the long-term development of military cooperation, the heads of defense ministries approved the draft concept of aerospace defense (ASD) states - participants of the CIS. The concept of EKO reflects system of views on aerospace defense, coordination and interaction of troops (forces) defense for the protection of the borders in airspace and outer space ", - says the publication.
On the basis of the general organizational and technical views to equip the national armed forces of modern communication technology defines the main directions of development and improvement of joint (combined) communication system.
Heads of military departments supported the proposal to establish a joint engineering unit humanitarian demining, approved guidelines for the preparation and holding of joint special tactical exercises with units of the engineering troops, as well as to improve military skills soldiers decided to hold international competitions departments of engineering troops.
Council of Defense Ministers paid special attention to the improvement of the united air defense system of states - participants of the CIS. The meeting approved the plan of interaction of troops (forces) OS CIS Air Defense, the Joint Action Plan OS CIS Air Defense in 2016 and the position of the Coordinating Committee on Air Defence under the Council of Ministers of Defense, as well as coordinated the appropriation for the development of the operating system of air defense of the CIS in 2017 .
Particular attention, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu paid a joint constructive work on the plan vzaimo¬deystviya troops obedi¬nёnnoy air defense system and the project kontsep¬tsii aerospace defense, as well as the organizational, technical and legal support razra¬botki draft agreement on joint (united) the communication system of the armed forces of the CIS states.
All of these documents and materials were discussed and approved.
