Almaty. January 23. Silkroadnews - Died King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, reported the BBC Russian Service.
"King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, which was more than 90 years, died in the hospital, according to state television. Before the announcement, the Saudi television was interrupted by reading the Koran, which often means the death of someone from the senior members of the royal family",- said in a statement.
The new king became his brother Salman. Heir to the throne, he called Prince Mukrina.
Abdullah was for several weeks in the hospital with a lung infection.
He ascended the throne in 2005, but in the last few years had health problems.
