Almaty. April 16. Silkroadnews - Violation of water and energy balance in Central Asia, forces Kyrgyzstan to build the Kara-Keche thermal power plant (TPP), transfers KyrTAG with reference to the Deputy Prime Minister Valeri Dil on Thursday.
According to him, in Soviet times there was water-power mode which in summer in maximum released the water from the Toktogul reservoir and supplied electricity to neighbours. In exchange from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan was received gas and coal, by which in winter Bishkek СHP could produce adequate electricity.
"Water-energy regime was violated because we did not recognize the agreement on the balance sheet. Everyone began to put forward their demands and neighbors refused to purchase electricity in the summer, abandoned gas supplies, setting world prices", - he added.
