Dozens of people were injured after explosion in Chinese city of Ningbo

Almaty. November 27. Silkroadnews – Dozens of people were injured after explosion in the Chinese city of Ningbo, South China Morning Post reported.
“At least 2 dead as huge blast hits Chinese port city of Ningbo. Multiple casualties reported in city in Zhejiang province after explosion at building that neighbors say was due to be demolished,” the report said.
The explosion occurred at about 8:50 am on Sunday, shattered windows up to a kilometer from the blast site and destroyed roofs at few nearby located buildings. an explosion blasted windows in a radius of a kilometer from the site of the explosion, a few nearby rear collapsed roofs. The cause of the explosion is unknown.
According to the local authorities, at least two people left killed after explosion died and at least 30 people need inpatient treatment. Video and photos from the site of the explosion, published on the local news portal, show clouds of white smoke over the city.
“While the cause of the blast is still under investigation, it is the latest in a series of incidents that have raised concerns about safety in China’s manufacturing sector. In August 2015, two blasts ripped through the industrial Binhai New Area in the port city of Tianjin, killing 173 people – including firefighters – and injuring hundreds,” the publication reads.
