DPRK agreed to hold high-level talks with South Korea

Almaty. January 5. Silkroadnews - The DPRK agreed to hold high-level talks with South Korea, the Kyrgyz Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG) reports with reference to the sources in the Republic of Korea.
As noted, the talks, the first inter-Korean talks since December 2015, will be held on January 9 at the border post in Panmunjom.
Reportedly, on Wednesday South Korea and the DPRK restored the line of special communication in the demilitarized zone in Panmunjom. Over the past two days, the parties have contacted several times. The upcoming high-level talks are expected to cover the issue of participation of the DPRK team in the forthcoming Winter Olympic Games in South Korean Pyeongchang.
In a telephone conversation on Thursday South Korean President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Donald Trump agreed not to conduct joint military exercises during the Olympic Games, provided that the DPRK will not carry out any provocative actions.
