Duty-free import of cars from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan will be solved from 2025
Almaty. August 20. Silkroadnews - cars for personal use without payment of a fee from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan will be imported from 1 January 2025. This was announced by the head of the organization of activity checkpoints of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Maubaev, KazTAG reports.
Now, in the framework of the Treaty of Accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the EAEC, there is a Protocol on the conditions and the transitional provisions.
"Cars that were imported into Kyrgyzstan before January 1, 2014, are recognized as goods of the Customs Union. Those vehicles that are imported after January 1, 2014, are recognized as goods of CU only if the vehicle owner will pay the difference rates of customs duties and taxes, which acted on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, and those that are now operating on the territory of the EAEC",- said the head of government.
He also stressed that on the territory of the EAEC the temporary transfer of use of vehicles registered for the citizens of Kyrgyzstan is impossible. That is, to go on a power of attorney on these vehicles is prohibited.
