East Kazakhstan has a basis for partnership with Russia in the sphere of high technologies - Lavrov

Almaty. August 7. Silkroadnews - Eastern Kazakhstan has a good base for partnership with Russia in the field of high technology, said KazTAG citing Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov.
"There is a huge potential for development, I was able to see myself today by visiting Automobile plant and especially Ulbine Metallurgical Plant. There is the prospect of our bilateral cooperation,  special attention shall be paid to the area of high technology, for this there is a good base "- said Sergey Lavrov during his visit to Ust-Kamenogorsk on Wednesday.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, last year the turnover of Russia with the East Kazakhstan region exceeded $1.3 billion, the Russian side is interested in "quick trade turnover in the framework of the Customs Union", in including certificates and other legal documents. In addition, according to the minister, in order to enhance humanitarian ties between Russia and Kazakhstan countries need "more regular communication system, including air traffic, for which documents are being prepared".
"In the nearest time we will sign the intergovernmental agreement on the construction of a nuclear power plant", - said Sergei Lavrov, in response to the invitation of Akim of East Kazakhstan Berdybek Saparbaev who suggested to hurry the signing of agreement for the construction of nuclear power plants in Kurchatov.
The head of the Eastern Kazakhstan B.Saparbayev noted that in 5 months trade turnover with neighboring entities of the Russian Federation amounted to about $ 700 million.
Recall, on August 6, Russian Minister of Foreign Affirs Sergei Lavrov together with General Consulate of the Russian Federation and the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Andrew visited a number of industrial facilities in Kazakhstan in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
