EEC imposed antidumping duties on citric acid from China

Almaty. March 12. Silkroadnews - College of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) decided to establish anti-dumping duty in respect of citric acid from the People's Republic of China for 5 years, indicates the report of the ECE.
As noted, the fees set within 4,2-16,97% of the customs value for the various exporters/producers.
As explained in the period from 2010 to 2013, the volume of imports of citric acid from China to the Customs Union countries increased by 38.3%, and its share in total imports of citric acid to the CU - from 86.3% in 2010 to 91 8% in 2013.
The weighted average import prices of citric acid from the PRC decreased by 7.3% and remained well below the average price of citric acid that comes from other countries. The estimated margin of dumping ranged from 4.2% to 16.97%.
During this period, the volume of sales of citric acid by enterprises of CU countries decreased by 3.1%, and citric acid production in CU countries decreased by 7.1% points.
The decision shall enter into force after 30 calendar days from the date of its official publication.
