Egypt returned to China antique coins of the Qing Dynasty

Almaty. August 28. Silkroadnews – Egypt returned to China antique coins of the Qing dynasty, Russian news agency TASS reported.
Egyptian authorities returned to the PRC government the coins and bonds issued in China during the last Qing dynasty (1644-1911). The ceremony of sending the cargo home was held in the National Museum of Cairo: the antiques of great historic value were earlier confiscated from smugglers attempting to cross the Egyptian border, the report said.
The return of the antiques is an important gesture that contributes to strengthening of bilateral relations to preserve the heritage of antiquity through the joint efforts, Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Song Aiguo was quoted saying.
