Beijing. May 30. Silkroadnews - The Iranian government spokesman Mohammad Bagher Nobakht said that the enemies will seek to quickly curb Iran’s oil income amid new sanctions, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports.
“The enemies seek to curb Iran petro dollars, but the government is trying hard to tackle people’s problems,” Mehr News Agency quoted him saying.
Nobakht said that history will remember Iranian nuclear negotiators, especially president Hassan Rouhani for proving to the world that Iran’s nuclear activities were for peaceful purposes, the report reads.
As for the current talks with the remaining parties that signed the nuclear deal, he said, “the Europeans had a misconception about the nuclear program of our country, and they saw it as a threat to themselves…as they are closer to us (Iran) geographically… we do not intend to harm anyone, but, as Leader has said before, will respond vigorously to any external threats.”
Nobakht reaffirmed Iran’s position, saying that missiles are designed for defensive purposes and are a deterrent power of the country.
As for the recent banning of the Telegram messenger, Nobakht said the application is still accessible via different VPNs and proxies.
