EU calls to use opportunities for cooperation with Iran

Almaty. November 13. Silkroadnews - The EU calls for using opportunities for cooperation with Iran, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports with reference to the Islamic Republic News Agency.
“Iran and the European Union should enhance their cooperation further to compensate for the loss caused by the sanctions against Iran, the EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan said,” the report reads.
Lifting of the sanctions, as noted, has provided the EU with ample opportunities for developing cooperation with Iran, Phil Hogan said meeting with Iranian Health Minister Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi in Tehran.
According to Hogan, over the past year the EU has actively used the opportunities that emerged after Iran’s nuclear deal implementation to achieve mutually beneficial goals.
Hogan also added, the European Union is interested in strengthening its relations with Iran and cooperation in the field of food and agriculture.
In his turn Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi noted that Iran is also interested to supply its agricultural products to the European markets. Hashemi also called on the EU authorities to cooperate with Iran.
Hogan, who heads a 70-member delegation from 19 European countries, arrived in the Iranian capital to study ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the European Union and Tehran.
