Eurasian Economic Union Agreement takes into account all national interests of Kazakhstan – MFA

Astana. May 26. Silkroadnews – Eurasian Economic Union agreement that is being prepared for signing takes into account all the national interests of Kazakhstan, as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Samat Ordabayev states.
“At the end of the day, we worked out a balanced document, that takes into account all of our national interests”, he stated at the briefing this Monday.
He says Kazakhstan has proven successful in persuading its Belorussian and Russian counterparts in negotiations to abandon pollicisation of Eurasian Economic Union and Focus on economic stipulations. Thanks to Kazakhstan’s consistent approach, a number of stipulation was excluded from the agreement. “…It is such issues as common citizenship, foreign policy, inter-parliamentary cooperation, passport and visa issues, common border security, export control and other issues – it is a long list”, Mister Ordabayev said.
The Deputy Minister reminded that the draft agreement is over 2 000 pages long.
Presidents of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus plan to sign the Eurasian Economic Union Agreement on the 29th of May. The ceremony is to take place in Astana.
