Export of Iranian goods to Afghanistan has exceeded $3.2 billion a year

Almaty. May 28. Silkroadnews - Export of Iranian goods to Afghanistan has exceeded $3.2 billion a year, informed the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Thursday, referring to the commercial counselor of Afghanistan in Iran Abdulhamid Farhang at a conference on the development of trade relations between the two countries, held recently in Iranian city of Mashhad.
At the same time the representative of Afghanistan expressed concern that trade relations of neighbors is increasingly limited by supply of Iranian goods on the Afghan market, which could negatively affect their development in the long term. In this regard, he proposed the creation on the territory of Iran processing and packaging plant of agricultural products of Afghanistan with the aim of re-export to other countries  According to the trading adviser this must provide substantial assistance to the Afghan economy.
According A.Farhang, today Afghanistan needs Iranian engineering services for the restoration of its economic infrastructure, and therefore. it is necessary to establish active consultation between the relevant departments and agencies of both countries.
