Export of Kyrgyz goods in January-April fell by more than a quarter

Almaty. May 13. Silkroadnews – In January-March 2016 the exports of goods from Kyrgyzstan decreased by 25.8%, KyrTAG reports with reference to the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Export of goods from Kyrgyzstan in January-March 2016 decreased by 25.8% compared to the same period of last year and amounted to $287.1 million.

“The decline has been stipulated by reduction in supplies of cattle (6 times), fruits (4.2 times), milk and dairy products (1.4 times) and cotton (2 times). The volume of gold exports decreased 2.6 times,” the National Statistics Committee comments on the numbers.

With this the import of goods in Kyrgyzstan in January-March 2016 decreased by 19.8% and amounted to $733.9 million.

Import revenues decreased due to reduction in import of vehicles (2.1 times), pharmaceutical products (1.5 times), lubricating petroleum oils (1.7 times), sugar and confectionery products (19%) and meat and meat products (10.2%).
Thus, the foreign trade numbers are decreasing.

The total volume of wholesale and retail trade within the country grew by 4.4% due to motor fuel sales and retail.
