Exports of crude oil from Iran increased by 14%
Almaty. September 3. Silkroadnews - Iran continues to increase the volume of oil exports in spite of the regime of international embargo, informs the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
According to the latest data of the Ministry of Oil of Iran, Iran broke the previous record for the export of crude oil and gas condensate, increasing this figure compared to the previous year by 14%, or 164 thousand barrels per day on average. Thus, this year the country exported a daily average of 1.36 million barrels of oil, compared to about 1.2 million barrels last year.
Along with the growth of exports of oil and gas condensate, Iran has also increased production of natural gas, the volume of which amounted to 760 million cubic meters per day. The lion's share of growth was provided by the commissioning phase, the 12th largest in the world oil and gas field "South Pars" in the Persian Gulf and the start of production at 15-18 phases of the field. In general, the volume of production, processing and supply of gas in the country has increased over last year by about 12%.
Iran's Oil Ministry allocated more than $29 billion for the development of phase of new deposit "South Pars" and to continue the construction of the 6th, 9th and 11th main gas pipelines.
According to published data, in August, oil production increased by 50 thousand barrels and reached 2.9 million barrels per day, which is the highest level since July 2012.
