Almaty. December 3. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan will upgrade Farkhad hydroelectric power plant in 2015-2017, reported the Uzbek news agency (UzTAG).
As noted, after the modernization, the power station capacity will increase from 114 MW to 127 MW. With the completion of the modernization of the average annual hydropower generation will be increased to 557.6 million kW / h.
Modernization of HPP is financed from the own funds of JSC "Uzbekenergo" ($65.3 million) and the Islamic Development Bank credit ($65.7 million).
The project worth $131 million included in the program of development of hydropower on the 2016-2020.
