First international freight train went from Lanzhou to Almaty

Astana. July 7. Silkroadnews - From Lanchzhou to Almaty went first international freight train loaded with electromechanical equipment, reported Xinhua.
The opening of the rail freight route will facilitate the export of goods from the western regions of China to the markets of Central Europe and Central Asia, says the deputy head of the Lanzhou Railway management Xing Tao.
The total length of the route is 2,683 km.
