Flight connection between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to be resumed in the near future

Almaty. January 27. Silkroadnews – Flight connection between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to be resumed in the near future, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) informed on Friday.

“This year the national air company of Uzbekistan “Uzbekistan Airways” plans to open a number of new directions. In particular, air communication with Tajikistan is expected to resume in the near future”, General Director of Uzbekistan Airways Valeriy Tyan said.

He noted, the intergovernmental agreement in this regard has been completely finalized and is ready for signing.
Mr. Tyan also said, at the moment the representatives of the Uzbek side and aviation authorities of Tajikistan work intensively on cooperation issues.

To remind, a decision to resume flights between Tashkent and Dushanbe was made at the meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in November 2016.
