Flood claims 15 lives in Southern Tajikistan

Dushanbe. April 14. Silkroadnews – “A landslide accompanied with a mudflow claimed at least 13 lives. The hazard happened at night of April the 13th in Southern Tajik area of Odinaboy”, as TajikTA reports.
Women and children are among those killed in the flood.
Additionally, residents of Kulob, Vose and Hamadoni districs also suffered from the consequences of the flood. It claimed 2 more lives there.
The national committee of Emergency situation and Civil Defence is currently working in the area. Families are provided with tents, warm blankets, items of clothing and other necessities.
Population has been related to a more secure area.
