For 10 months. export and import of vehicles in Tajikistan decreased by almost 29%

Almaty. November 24. Silkroadnews - In January-October this year, the export and import of vehicles in Tajikistan has decreased by almost 29%, informs Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Monday.
"Importing vehicles from January to October in terms of amount decreased by 28.9%, or $168 million. Compared to the same period last year", - said the agency's report on Statistics of Tajikistan.
According to information, the total imports of vehicles in January-October 2014 amounted to more than $414.1 million.
For the same period in 2013 vehicles were imported in the amount of more than $582 million.
Basically, the prices for imported used cars,are much lower than the cost of a new vehicle.
Road transport, mainly passenger, imported from the Baltic States and Europe, and supersize - from China.
Exports (re-exports) vehicles decreased compared with the same period in 2013 of almost $10 million. The amount of exports of vehicles in the period amounted to more than $12 million.
"In January-October last year, the figure was more than $21.7 million", - Said the Statistics Agency of the country.
