For six months Tajikistan has attracted more than $140 million investments from China
Almaty. August 4. Silkroadnews – For six months of the year Tajikistan has attracted $220 million of foreign investments, with the Chinese capital making the largest share, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reports.
“For 6 months of this year the Tajik economy attracted $220 million of investments, of which $142 million came from China, $35 million – from Russia and $12 million – from the UK”, chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management Kodiri Qosim said.
According to him, Russian investments as compared to the same period of the last year decreased by $28 million, due to the economic crisis.
“The Chinese investments are mainly focused on the development of financial services, telecommunications, exploration, construction sector, production of petroleum products and agricultural products”, the official stressed.
