Former high-level political adviser in Hubei Province suspected of corruption

Almaty. September 26. Silkroadnews – A former high-ranking political adviser in Hubei Province is suspected of corruption, China Daily reported.
“Liu Shanqiao, former vice chairman of the People's Political Consultative Conference of central China's Hubei Province, is under investigation on suspicion of taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) announced,” the report said.
It also states, Liu has been placed under “coercive measures,” that may include house arrest, detention, arrest, etc., and further investigation is under way.
Earlier this month Liu has been expelled from the Communist Party of China and dismissed from public office.
