France’s president said France is ready to attack Syria in case of chemical weapons use

Beijing. February 14. Silkroadnews - France is ready to attack Syria in case of chemical weapons use, President Emmanuel Macron said, Izvestia reports.
In particular, France’s president said that “France will strike” if chemical weapons are used against civilians in the Syrian conflict. It is noted, however, he had not yet seen proof this was the case so far.
To remind, the latest recorded case with alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria was dated January 22. According to the UN, more than 20 people were injured as a result of the attack in the eastern part of Ghouta. On January 23, the UN Security Council chaired by Kazakhstan held an extraordinary meeting on use of chemical weapons in Syria. The Council unanimously condemned the incident in eastern Ghouta. On February 6, the UN reported, the most of the reports on chemical weapons use in Syria came from areas beyond the control of the government.
