French FIEV Group cancelled July trip to Iran

Beijing. June 8. Silkroadnews - Under pressure by the U.S., the France’s group of companies manufacturing car equipment FIEV has canceled the trip to Iran scheduled for July, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports.
“The trip has been canceled and replaced instead by a meeting in France of our Iran club, so that we can reflect upon how to proceed in light of current events,” the Mehr News Agency quoted saying by FIEV president Jacques Mauge.
Earlier this month, the Peugeot car manufacturer, PSA Group, also announced the suspension of joint activities in Iran to avoid the U.S. sanctions following Washington’ withdrawal from the JCPOA.
France’s Total also said this May it will leave a multibillion-dollar gas project in Iran if it cannot avoid the U.S. sanctions.
