Gas deliveries to China grew 23% up to 17.4 billion cubic meters over the last 7 months
Almaty. August 25. Silkroadnews – In January-July 2016 China raised its imports of natural gas by 23% compared to the same period of last year up to 17.417 billion cubic meters, data provided by China's Customs shows.
In particular, Turkmenistan has increased its deliveries by 16.8% to 13.761 billion cubic meters, Myanmar – by 14.5% to 1.629 billion cubic meters, Uzbekistan – 2.5 times to 1.857 billion cubic meters, Kazakhstan – by 6.3% to 169.071 million cubic meters.
At the same time over the first seven months of this year China imported 5.844 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas from Australia (+82.3% growth), 2.577 million tonnes from Qatar (+1.8% growth), 1.477 million tonnes from Malaysia (decline by 26.9%), 1.333 million tonnes from Indonesia (decline by 21.9%), 1.226 million tonnes from Papua New Guinea (+51.9% growth).
