German Air Force will continue to lease the airport in southern Uzbekistan

Almaty. February 2. Silkroadnews - German Armed Forces will continue to use transport and transshipment hub based on airport Termez, Uzbekistan, located in the south in the vicinity of the Uzbek-Afghan border, reports Trend.
As noted, the corresponding agreement was signed on September 1, 2014 in Tashkent. The cost of renting of the airport is not reported.
The Government of Uzbekistan in 2016 plans to invest $10.4 million for the establishment of an international logistics center at the Termez airport. Funding for the project is planned to partially maintain the expense of the Commission of the European Union.
