German companies want to expand cooperation with Iran

Beijing. June 13. Silkroadnews - The executive director of German Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (VDW) Wilfried Schäfer said German companies show great interest in continuing their activity in the profitable market of Iran after the U.S. withdrawal from the JCPOA, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports.
According to him, despite the U.S. withdrawal of the US from the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action), the international community should take decisive steps to maintain a global order and counteract the U.S. unilateral sanctions imposed on Iran.
“We are deeply interested in continuing our activities in Iran’s profitable market, so we are waiting for the clear-cut announcement of EU political position in this respect,” he added.
W. Schäfer called the unilateral withdrawal of the U.S. from the JCPOA ‘injustice and unwise’ and called on the international community to take logical steps to maintain the global order.
