Germany will build a technical college in Afghanistan

Almaty. February 17. Silkroadnews - State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development of Germany, Thomas Silberhorn together with the Deputy Governor Mohammad Zahir Wahdat laid the symbolic foundation stone for the construction of a technical college in Balkh province, transmits Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
"Investing in education - investing in the future of Afghanistan. This will help us to achieve the greatest goal we can achieve: our self-sufficiency",  - said M.Vahdat during the ceremony of laying the construction of the college.
In turn, the Silberhom said that this project will help to create new opportunities for young Afghans.
The estimated cost of the project is 3.4 million euros. College is designed for 720 students who will be taught the craft of building roads and railways, plumbing and electricity.
Technical College will be located in the campus with the Technical Teacher Training Academy (TTTA) and Agricultural Regional Institute (ARI).
