Global demand for gold reached the peak in the last two years
Almaty. November 12. Silkroadnews - Global demand for gold in the third quarter of 2015 grew at an annual terms by 8%, to 1120.9 tons, which is the highest figure over the past 2 years. This was reported by rosSMI citing a report of the World Gold Council (WGC).
The growth in demand for the metal in China over the period increased by 13% to 239.9 tons, in India - by 13% to 268.1 tons, and the Middle East - by 10% to 70.5 tonnes. In the United States observed an increase in demand by 62%, to 58.9 tons, and in Europe - by 27%, to 73.6 tons.
The organization points out that buying bars and coins showed an increase in the reporting period by 33% in annual terms, while jewelry demand increased by only 6%.
