Greek police detained assailant after an attempted assault on two Iranian embassy employees in Athens

Beijing. April 3. Silkroadnews - The Greek police detained a suspect after an attempted assault on two Iranian embassy employees in Athens, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports referring to Eleftheros Tipos daily newspaper.
Reportedly the incident occurred on Sunday. Iranian national, 47, attacked two of employees of the Iranian embassy with a knife.
According to the law enforcement agency, the attacker suffers from a mental disorder. As he later told the security guards, his next aim was the Israeli embassy, as “voices in his head” instructed him, TASS says.
The attacker has also admitted to the attack and two arsons committed earlier. The case was transferred to the prosecutor’s office, the attacker has been arrested.
