Heavy rainfalls to be expected in South China in the coming days; the 4th category prompt response regime has been announced

Almaty. June 14. Silkroadnews – Heavy rainfalls to be expected in most of South China on June 14-16, Chinese media reported.

As noted, China’s State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarter announced the 4th category prompt response regime.

According to the forecast by the central meteorological station, within the coming days heavy rains will cover area of about one million square kilometers and become the most large-scale since the beginning of this year. Daily precipitation is expected to reach 100-230mm. In particular, the heavy rainfalls forecasted in the provinces of Hunan and Jiangxi are expected to become the most powerful this year with a record high level of precipitation in some areas.

Affected by rainfalls the water level in some rivers may exceed the critical mark. There is a flood hazard for the middle and small rivers.
