Almaty. December 5. Silkroadnews - Human infection with avian influenza H7N9 virus have been reported in China, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports with reference to Xinhua.
“Human infection with avian influenza H7N9 virus have been reported in the province of Yunnan in Southwest China. The diagnosis was confirmed with hospitalized 64-year-old local resident on November 30. No problems with health have been revealed among those who were in direct contact with him. It is known that more than 10 hens the old man had died before he got hospitalized,” the health and family planning committee of the region said on Tuesday.
Reportedly, the first cases of human infection with H7N9 virus were recorded in China in March 2013. The peak of outbreaks of this type of bird flu is most common in the winter-spring period.
