Almaty. August 3. Silkroadnews - implementation of regional projects of power transmission CASA-1000 will be completed in 2019, reports TajikTA.
According to the Ministry, for the implementation of the Tajik part of the project needed $314 million. It should be noted that the total cost of the project CASA-1000 is more than $1 billion.
The costs of the project are distributed as follows: Tajikistan - $314 million. Kyrgyzstan - $209 million. Afghanistan - $354 million. Pakistan - $209 million.
It is expected that by the end of the year will be selected the general contractor of the project, and then begin immediate work on the construction of power transmission lines.
Project of transmission and trading of electricity in Central and South Asia (CASA-1000) includes the construction of high voltage power lines for electricity exports from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to Afghanistan and Pakistan.
