In 2017-2018 Kazakhstan to export to China up to 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas

Almaty. June 7. Silkroadnews – The issues of cooperation in the Kazakhstani gas export field were discussed during the meeting of the heads of JSC NC “KazMunayGas” and CNPC held in Astana, KazTAG reports with reference to press service of JSC “KazTransGas” (KTG).
“The parties discussed the possibilities of supplying natural gas from Kazakhstan to China in 2017-2018, and also agreed to sign a contract for purchase of Kazakhstani gas for export in the amount of up to 5 billion cubic meters. The heads of oil and gas companies signed an appropriate memorandum of understanding. The document determines the volume of supplies, price and quality of products, place of gas acceptance by the Chinese side - the “Khorgos” border point, the company said.
According to Kairat Sharipbayev, the chairman of the KTG board of directors, “arrangements on the Kazakhstani gas delivery to the People’s Republic of China were preceded by a hard work on export-oriented transportation system creation: completion of the Beyneu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas pipeline construction, commissioning of the third line of the “Kazakhstan-China” gas trunk line and construction of high-tech gas compressor stations “Bozoi”, “Karaozek” and the booster compressor station “Akyrtobe””.
JSC “KazTransGas” is the national operator of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply.
