Almaty. January 5. Silkroadnews - In 2018 China to launch at least 40 carrier rockets to carry out scheduled space flights, China Daily reported.
“China will launch at least 40 carrier rockets this year to carry out its scheduled space missions such as Chang’e 4 lunar probe and BeiDou 3 satellites,” the report said.
It is explained that China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation said in 2018 it will launch 35 Long March rockets, including Long March-5. China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation said that this year five solid-fuelled Kuaizhou rockets will be launched.
Chinese scientists will carry out the third launch of the Long March-5 launch this year, despite the fact that the second launch failed due to malfunctions in July. Long March-5 Y3 will send the Dongfanghong-5 satellite into orbit.
Being the most powerful rocket of the country, Long March-5 is important for China’s future manned missions and space exploration.
In case the third launch is successful, it will be the basis to prepare for the launch of the Chinese manned spacecraft and the core module of the space station in 2019. It will also send Chang’e 5 to the Moon for taking samples.
In 2018, China will launch more than 10 satellites to form a geo-navigation system of 18 BeiDou-3 satellites. 35 BeiDou-3 satellites are expected to form the global navigation system by 2020.
This year two high resolution remote-sensing satellites Gaofen-5 and Gaofen-6 will be launched. The goal of the Gaofen series is to provide all-weather 24-hour service covering the entire globe.
In addition, in February, the country’s first electromagnetic monitoring test satellite named after distinguished scientist Zhang Heng (AD 78-139), will be launched into space within the framework of the country’s seismic surveillance system.
