Astana. April 26. Silkroadnews – In 5-7 years people in Kazakhstan will drive electric motor cars, such an opinion was expressed by president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, KazTAG reports.

“Some countries, such as Taiwan and South Korea achieved serious progress in production of electricity using wind or sun power. Yesterday we saw the first flight made across the Atlantic on solar-powered batteries; the electric vehicles become common. In 5-7 years we will drive the electric motor cars,” N. Nazarbayev said at the regular session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in Astana on Tuesday.

“Though the batteries require electricity and charging, yet there will be no gas pollution and the oil consumption will get reduced naturally, as the cars consume about 33% of the total oil consumption volume,” he added.
