In Afghanistan government has implemented only 35% of the funds allocated by the international community
Almaty. October 24. Silkroadnews – This year ministries and authorities of Afghanistan could implement only 35% of the budget allocated for the development projects, AfTAG reports.
As Afghanistan’s Minister of Finance Eklil Hakimi said, after consultation with the National Council President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani will make a decision on these ministries.
“Today we have only two months left before the end of the fiscal year. Most ministries have disbursed only 35% of their development budgets. It’s very sad. The President took this issues quite seriously and I’m sure the due measures will be taken after consultation with you”, minister said.
In his turn senator Muhiuddin Munsif said, the issue on those ministers who could not use the budgets of their departments “shall be submitted to the Attorney General for the president and the National Council to decide on this in accordance with the law”.
According to the finance minister, despite the revealed inability of many ministries and departments to fulfill the development program in the country, the government still tries to disburse the funds allocated by the international community.
