According to the administration of the South Chinese province of Guangdong, the damage from the typhoon was 23.24 billion yuan ($3.66 billion). In Guangxi-Chzhuan direct economic losses reached 708 million yuan ($111 million). The weather in these provinces affected agricultural crops on an area of more than 350 thousand hectares.
Typhoon "Muchzhige" came to the mainland of China on Sunday. Local media say that "Muchzhige" was the most devastating typhoon since 1949.
