Almaty. April 20. Silkroadnews - China has increased the volume of proven geological reserves of oil and gas in 2014, informs the newspaper "Zhenmin Zhibao".
Thus, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Land and Resources of China, in 2014 proven geological oil reserves in China, the eighth consecutive year increased by 1 billion tons, the total amount of proven reserves of natural shale and coal mine gas reached its highest level in the history of the country.
In 2014, China has explored new reserves of crude oil with a capacity of 1 billion 61 million tons, which laid a solid foundation for the sustainable growth of the oil industry. In particular, 867 million 484.1 thousand tons, or 82.6% of new reserves were explored in 25 large and medium-sized fields.
So, just at Chantsinsk oilfields were explored new geological reserves of more than 100 million tons. It is worth noting that from the above-mentioned total amount of proven geological reserves, using existing technology, it is possible to produce 187 million tons of oil.
In addition, the total amount of explored in 2014 in China geological natural gas reserves exceed 1.1 trillion cubic meters from which 474 billion 956 million cubic meters of gas can be extracted with the use of available technology.
Along with this, there have also been explored geological reserves of shale gas in the amount of 106 billion 750 million cubic meters, mine gas reserves in the amount of 60 billion 193 million cubic meters, from which the available technologies allow to produce 26 billion 688 million and 30 billion 531 million cubic meters respectively.
