In January-November the Caspian Pipeline Consortium increased oil exports by 2.8%

Almaty. December 6. Silkroadnews – The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) exported 39.78 million tonnes of oil in January-November 2016, which is 2.78% higher compared to the same period of 2015, the consortium data says.

According to the consortium, this November oil exports amounted to 4.438 million tonnes versus 3.995 million tonnes of November 2015.

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium has been established for the construction of the pipeline and export of the Kazakhstani oil in transit through the territory of Russia. The CPC owns Tengiz-Novorossiysk oil pipeline with a total length of more than 1.5 thousand km connecting the fields of the western region of Kazakhstan to the Russian Black Sea coast. In 2015 the export volumes of shipments by the consortium amounted to 42.759 million tonnes, which is 7% more than in 2014.

The CPC shareholders are: Russia (represented by “Transneft” (24%), and “CTC Company” (7%)) – 31%; Kazakhstan (represented by “KazMunaiGas” (19%), and Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures LLC (1,75%)) – 20,75%; Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium Company – 15%, LUKARCO B.V. – 12,5%, Mobil Caspian Pipeline Company – 7,5%, Rosneft-Shell Caspian Ventures Limited – 7 5%, BG Overseas Holding Limited – 2%, Eni International N.A. N.V. – 2 and Oryx Caspian Pipeline LLC – 1,75%.
