In October China imported 1.35 million tonnes of oil from Russia over pipeline

Almaty. November 23. Silkroadnews – In October 2016 Russia delivered to China 1.35 million tonnes of crude oil over the main oil pipeline, the newspaper “People’s Daily” writes.

As a total, from the beginning of pipeline operation till the end of October 2016 China received from Russia 91.71 million tonnes of crude oil.

The China-Russian oil pipeline was officially put into operation on January 1, 2011. It originates at the pumping station of “Skvorodino” in the Amur region, crosses the border and the territory of Heilongjiang Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and ends at the city of Daqing (in Heilongjiang province).

The length of the Russian section of the pipeline is 72 km, the Chinese section is 927.04 km long. The pipeline capacity is 15 million tonnes of oil per year, with maximum capacity of 30 million tonnes.
