Beijing. April 4. Silkroadnews - In response to Russia’s actions Tajikistan cut flights by “Ural Airlines” and “UTair”, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reports on Wednesday.
Tajikistan’s aviation authorities have cut the number of flights of two Russian airlines “Ural Airlines” and “UTair” from Moscow to Tajikistan. The move is taken in response to a reduction in the flights of Tajik airlines “Tajik Air” and “Somon Air” to Moscow, a source in the Tajikistan’s Ministry of Transport said.
In particular, four “UTair” flights on Moscow-Dushanbe route and four “Ural Airlines” flights from Moscow to Dushanbe and Khujand were suspended (two flights to each city).
According to the source, this is a retaliatory measure to reduce the frequency of flights by Tajik airlines “Tajik Air” and “Somon Air” to Moscow.
Starting from April 2, five flights by “Tajik Air” and four flights by “Somon Air” to Moscow’s Domodedovo airport have been suspended, the source said.
The source note, on April 3, the Tajik delegation left for Moscow to negotiate with the Russian side to resolve the air conflict.
