In the coming year Kazakhstan’s road traffic police to stop using traffic wands

Almaty. December 29. Silkroadnews – As a part of modernization of law enforcement bodies the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs studied the international experience of road-traffic safety, the ministry’s press-service informed.

“According to the international standards, starting from January 1, 2017, the law enforcement agencies’ officers will stop using the traffic wands to stop the transport vehicle. To fix violations of traffic rules the internal affairs bodies will use cameras and recorders”, the statement said.

As explained by the director of MIA department of the state language and information Almas Sadubaev, “stop instructions will be made using gesture only with whistle or special sound and light signals, loud-speaker device installed in the patrol car, as well as in auto patrol regime”.
