India and Uzbekistan agreed to develop cooperation in the sphere of culture and tourism

Almaty. July 7. Silkroadnews - India and Uzbekistan have signed documents on cooperation in the sphere of culture and tourism, said UzTAG.
The documents were signed after talks of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Uzbek President Islam Karimov.
In particular, they signed two intergovernmental agreements - on cooperation in the field of tourism and the program of cultural cooperation for 2015-2017 years. As part of these documents it is planned to step up direct contacts between representatives of the culture and tourism industry of Uzbekistan and India. Also, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the two countries signed a protocol on cooperation.
Furthermore, the sides talked about issues of expansion of economic cooperation, cooperation in agriculture, in the field of ICT, transport, communications, culture and tourism, issues of regional security, in particular, the situation in Afghanistan, the fight against terrorism, cyber security, cooperation in the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and other topics.
Indian Prime Minister plans to visit five Central Asian countries - Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan from 6 to 13 July. In addition, from 8 to 10 July, Modi will be in Ufa for the summit of BRICS and the SCO.
