Almaty. June 23. Silkroadnews – International donors will allocate $24 million to Tajikistan to develop pastures in the country, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reports.

“International donors will allocate 24 million U.S. dollars for development of pastures in the Kulob region of the republic. These funds will be invested within the framework of the agreement on the Program of Adaption of Small Farms to Climate Change on financing the Livestock and Pasture Development Project between Tajikistan, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Trust Fund, ratified by the lower chamber of parliament of the Republic on June 22,” publication states.

More than $15 million out of the project amount calculated for the period from 2016 to 2022 are grants.
According to the speaker of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli Shukurjon Zuhurov, currently a number of the country’s pastures is in the hands of unprofessional people who bear no relation to cattle breeding but set their own prices for cattle grazing and decide who can be allowed to enter the pasture.

“Time comes to end this outrage,” he summarized.
