International Nomadic Games to cost Kyrgyzstan USD 3 mln

Bishkek. May 28. Silkroadnews - International Nomadic Games that are to be held in Kyrgyz Region of Issyk-Kul on September 8-14 will cost Kyrgyzstan an estimated USD 3 mln. This was reported at the working session of parliamentary committee on economic and fiscal policy.
During the session, Kyrgyz MP Karganbek Samakov demanded that the government to allocate these 3 mln dollars.
"Other countries wanted to host International Nomadic Games as well. However, Kyrgyzstan's bid was successful because "kok-boru" is a national Kyrgyz game. USD 3 mln needed for the games are yet to be allocated from the budget. Why are you not allocating the money?", he questioned government members.
Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Gagauzia and over 10 subjects of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China plan to send their delegates to the Games. As an organiser, Kyrgyzstan is to be represented by 2 teams in each sporting category.
International Nomadic Games are an analogue of Olympic, Paralympic and Games. This is a touristic project that aims to develop traditional games of many nomadic nations.
