Iran and Austria have signed 15 agreements on cooperation in the amount of 80 million euros
Almaty. September 9. SIlkroadnews - 15 cooperation agreements were signed between Tehran and Vienna at the end of the official visit to Iran of the Austrian President Heinz Fischer, informed the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Wednesday.
As the president of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Christoph Leitl, the cost of these agreements amounts to about 80 million euros, but this amount in the future may increase 5 times.
He said the important directions for the development of the Iranian-Austrian relations include such areas as tourism, education and investment cooperation.
The head of the Federal Chamber also announced the arrival in Iran of the Chairman of National Bank of Austria, who will meet and talk with his Iranian counterpart Valiullov Seif. At the meeting the sides will discuss existing opportunities for expansion of bilateral cooperation in the banking and financial sector.
Meanwhile, in Tehran on the eve were held negotiations of presidents of Iran and Austria, Hassan Rouhani and Heinz Fischer. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the Austrian leader said that reached an agreement to increase the trade turnover between Iran and Austria to 300 million euros.
