Iran and Pakistan discussed border security issues
Almaty. October 16. Silkroadnews – Iran and Pakistan discussed issues of border security, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reported referring to the Islamic Republic News Agency.
“A delegation from Pakistan Balochistan Province and Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minsiter Morteza Sarmadi discussed bilateral and regional issues, including border security,” the report said.
The main topics of the talks, as noted, included the issues of border security, visa issuance, gas exports, the opening of Quetta-Zahedan flights, electricity exports, economic cooperation boosting and banking issues resolving.
The delegation reportedly arrived in Shiraz, southern Iran, on Tuesday, October 10, and held talks with local officials in the province of Fars.
The members of the parliamentary delegation from Pakistan’s Balochistan also met with the speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani and President Hassan Rouhani’s deputy for women and family affairs.
