Iran and Russia discussed naval cooperation
Almaty. August 10. Silkroadnews - Ships of the Navy Forces of Russia moored in the port of Anzali on the Caspian coast of Iran, informed the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Monday.
Russian Navy warships arrived in Iran on a three-day visit to strengthen naval cooperation between the two countries within the framework of measures for the further development of Iran-Russian relations.
Upon the arrival at the Anzali over the weekend, the commander of the Russian fleet captain Kirill Taranenko met with the commander of the 4th Naval Area Rear Admiral Afshin Rezaei Haddad.
According to Rear Admiral, Russian sailors will also visit the units and formations of the Iranian Navy, stationed in the region, where they will get acquainted with the conditions of life and service of the Iranian sailors.
This is the third visit of the Russian Navy warships in the Islamic republic since 2007.
